Throw these together and you’re guaranteed compliments from your friends, family, coworkers and whoever else is lucky enough to sample your cookies 😉
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup margarine, room temperature
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup agave nectar
- 2 heaping tbsp brown sugar
- 1-2 eggs
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup wheat bran
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/3 cup dutch cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- pinch of baking powder
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
- Mix margarine, granulated sugar, agave and brown sugar until all creamed together. Add in eggs one at a time, you could get away with only using 1 egg if you don’t have 2 to spare!
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, wheat bran, oats, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and vanilla extract. Mix together thoroughly.
- Slowly add flour mixture into the creamed butter and sugar. Mixing well as you go.
- Fold in chocolate chips and whatever other ingredients you’d like! Nuts, seeds, more chocolate…
- Chill batter for 20-30 minutes then spoon dollops onto aluminum foil-lined baking sheets.
- Bake for 12 minutes and remove from oven to let cool for 2 minutes before transferring cookies to cooling rack.
Enjoy 🙂
